Brad Jones Racing Drives Quality Output with Roland DG EJ-640.

Since February 2017, Australian V8 Supercars Team Brad Jones Racing (BJR), has been using a Roland DG SOLJET EJ-640 wide format printer and a Roland DG CAMM-1 GX-640 cutter for their in-house production, including all of the race car liveries for the team.

Brad Norman, head of signage and graphic design for BJR, responsible for everything from design, to print, through to application, has been very impressed with the efficiency and output of the EJ-640: "I have found the EJ-640 exceptionally fast when it comes to printing, without compromising the quality of the final print".

Due to their busy event schedule, changing sponsors and the high number of accidents on course, a quick turnaround is imperative. Brad has found that the EJ-640 can be left to print overnight and he can rest assured that he'll receive a quality final print in the morning. This year, Brad said that the EJ-640 has "really had a workout" and "so far, it hasn't missed a beat. It's hit the mark, every time, which gives me the confidence to keep on using it".

Compared to the previous printer that the team was using, Brad has discovered that the EJ-640 is faster, whilst retaining high quality and vibrancy. He has noticed a large reduction in ink consumption, and with the high-capacity one liter cartridges he notes "it feels like you never change a cartridge".

Brad has found that the EJ-640 and the GX-640 Cutter "work seamlessly" together and are easy-to-use. As a first time Roland DG user, he says he's received "amazing" support and wouldn't hesitate in recommending the machines: "I would recommend the EJ-640 to anyone in the wide format printer market, purely for the speed, quality and reliability… it's unmatched".
